Seasonal vaccinations, Covid-19 and Flu – important patient information

Posted on:

It is that time of year again when as a practice we plan the delivery of our winter vaccination programme, to protect our patient that fall into the criteria detailed below.  To support the protection of the wider community, we advise all eligible patients take up the offer of vaccinations this winter.

Care home and Housebound Patients:

We are working with our partner colleagues from ABC Ltd, who will as in previous years provide the delivery of Covid and Flu vaccinations to patients on our housebound register and care home patients.

– Adults aged 75 years and over
– Residents in care homes for older adults
– Individuals who are immunosuppressed and 6 months and over

Immunosuppressed groups are patients who are:

– A recipient of an organ, bone marrow, or stem cell transplant

While this list summarises some major groups, it does not cover everything. Please check online at nhs.uk/get-vaccine to see if you are eligible.
