Recent Upgrades to the Software used within our Clinical Systems

We would like to inform our patients about recent upgrades to the software used within our clinical systems.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving patient care, streamlining long-term condition reviews, and enhancing the monitoring of blood tests for specific medications and conditions, we have introduced a new system called Welby Innovate. This system enables our clinical team to clearly identify and manage both short- and long-term reviews required for patients.

As Welby Innovate is newly implemented, there will be an initial period of staff training and system optimisation. During this time, some patients may receive additional invitations to attend the Practice for one or more of the following:

  • Blood tests
  • Requests for height, weight, and blood pressure measurements (available in the reception area at each site)
  • Questionnaires relating to the management of long-term conditions
  • General health questionnaires, such as smoking and alcohol intake

Our aim is to simplify and improve patient care by offering a single annual review that covers long-term conditions and chronic disease management. This approach will help reduce the need for multiple visits throughout the year, allowing blood tests, observations, and reviews to be completed in one appointment wherever possible.

Going forward, annual reviews will be scheduled around each patient’s month of birth. Invitations will be sent via SMS with a booking link, or as a questionnaire for patients who are unable to use online booking. Where necessary, a member of our team will contact patients directly to arrange appointments.
